After years spent leading programs and navigating the fast‑paced world of technology at Microsoft, Kara Higgs made a bold and deeply personal decision — to step away from the world of corporate deadlines and into something she had always loved.

Baking.

But for Kara, this wasn't just a career change. It was a return to who she has always been.

Long before Flour Society existed, Kara was known by those around her as the creative force — the person who brings ideas to life, who notices the small details others miss, and who somehow finds a way to turn everyday moments into something thoughtful and memorable.

Whether it was hosting gatherings, designing experiences, or building something entirely new from scratch, creativity has always been at the centre of everything she does.
